FAQ and Conditions of Play

FAQs about Virtual Reality Perth

  • How can I order food?

Ordering food is available only when you book our Private Event Packages (Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum). You’ll be able to place your order when making your booking online, and it’ll be ready for you at your event.

    No outside food is allowed.

  • How many Arenas do you have?

We have 2 arenas both approximately 100m2.

  • How many people can play at once?

We can host up to 6 players in any one game and 12 people across 2 arenas simultaneously. Our multiplayer games are designed to offer a social VR experience so the more people you bring, the better!

  • Will it just be my group during my VR session?

Our ‘Regular Sessions’ are open to the public, so there may be people apart from your group in your session.

If you’d like the session to yourselves, you can book:

    – ‘Private Session’ for up to 6 players

    – ‘Private Event’ package for up to 48 players

  • What is the minimum age to play at your Perth VR centre?

Players need to be at least 8 years old and a minimum of 130cm tall to participate. For safety & supervision, any players under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult who is also booked into the session as a player. This ensures everyone has a great experience while navigating our free-roam arena.

  • What should I wear?

Our free-roam VR sessions are active experiences so we recommend flat shoes and comfortable clothing. Long dresses and skirts are not suitable as they can interfere with the leg tracking equipment. Please don’t wear heavy make up as the positioning of the head gear will cause it to smudge and run, and cause unnecessary wear and tear to our tech.

  • Can I wear glasses?

Most glasses are not an issue with our equipment unless your frames are unusually large. We will need to assess your glasses when you arrive so please bring contact lenses just in case.

  • Rescheduling & Customer Satisfaction

    Rescheduling
If you wish to reschedule a booking, you must do so with at least one week’s notice to avoid any forfeiture of your booking value.

    Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with your experience, please email us at perth@readyteamone.com, and we will work with you to resolve your concerns.

  • Cancellations & Refunds

We do not issue cash refunds. All refunds are processed as a credit to be used for a future booking.

7 or more days notice: You can receive a full refund as credit to the value of your original booking. Bookings made using gift cards (and bookings we have manually changed the date/time) may be gift carded (at our discretion). All bookings which have had their days/times changed more than once will be forfeited.

    Less than 7 days notice:

    • Standard Tickets: Any tickets for standard sessions cancelled with less than 7 days notice will forfeit the full amount.
    • Private Events & Group Bookings: A cancellation with less than 7 days notice will result in 30% of the package value being forfeited.

Please note that we cannot provide refunds for change of mind or for the purchase of gift vouchers.

    Illness Exception

We understand that unforeseen illness can occur. In this case, we may make an exception to our standard policy on a case-by-case basis. We will work with you to find a fair solution. This exception is not intended for exploitation and is subject to our discretion. If done more than once your booking will be forfeited.

  • Are there any safety restrictions or health requirements for VR in Perth?

To ensure everyone stays safe in the arena, we have a few requirements for all participants. For safety reasons, you will not be allowed to play if you are:

    • Under 8 years old and/or under 130cm tall.

    • Under the influence of alcohol or drugs or acting in an anti-social manner (all at the descretion of staff). No refunds or credits are provided in these case(s).

    • Prone to photosensitive epilepsy or seizure disorders due to flashing lights.

    • Living with a heart condition that could be affected by sudden shocks or high-intensity gameplay.

    • Completely deaf, as our games rely heavily on spatial audio for navigation and safety.

    • Customers are expected to shower (and have non-offensive body odour) and/or underwhelming perfume for the health and safety of others. Staff have the power to deny entry to any (paying customer or otherwise) with overwhelming body ordour or perfume. The level of which is purely at the staff members discretion.

We also do not recommend our experiences for:

    • People who are heavily pregnant (those who choose to play do so at their own risk).

    • The hearing impaired.

    • Those with broken limbs or mobility aids. Please note our venue is currently only accessible via stairs.

    • Those of a small/demure stature as others may walk into them and they will be unable to hold any VR equipment.

Our staff reserve the right to remove and/or restrict anyone from the arena (and/or the premises) whose actions put themselves or others at risk. In these instances, no refunds or gift cards will be issued. Police will be called and further action will be persued if the customer does not immediately comply.

  • Do you have BYO?

I’m afraid not- we are a fully licensed establishment so we are able to sell alcohol. We don’t allow others to bring alcohol onto the premises.

  • Can I smoke nearby?

Absolutely, we have an outdoor area where smokers can have a brief puff while waiting for their game (we wouldn’t recommend making your friends wait for you though).

  • Are you wheel chair accessible?

I’m afraid not, the building doesn’t have the space/facilities to accomodate a lift/elevator of any kind.

  • What is the age limit for players?

We are trialing 3rd Generational Hardware which allows players as young as 8 (with a paying parent) play however this hardware is currently limited to games with a maximum of 5 players. 1st Generational Hardware is limited to players above 13 years old and can handle games of up to 12 players per session. Email us before making a purchase to see how we can help you.

  • If I'm late can I still play?

We understand that life gets in the way and we will do our best to accommodate you but customers need to be at the venue no later than the session start time. The reason for this is that there is limited time to get you suited up and into VR. People will be booked in the session after you, and they will be effected as well. The people in your group will have to wait for you (as everyone needs to start together) and their game time will be limited as well. If you’re going to be late please call so we can reschedule you to a more convenient time/date for you.

If you’re late expect not to play otherwise you will significantly reduce the game time and attention given to all other players in your group. If you are able to join (purely at the staff member(s) discretion) expect a significantly short game (possibly only 5 minutes and most of that time you’ll be confused and frustrated).
