Ready Team One is a Perth company that makes its own free-roam virtual reality games and runs a free-roam VR venue in Perth CBD. You wear a wireless headset with full-body and finger tracking and walk freely around 200 square metres of open play space, so your group can move, talk and work together inside the game. All five games are built by our own studio in Perth, so you can only play them here. It’s a popular choice for birthdays (ages 8+), corporate team building, bucks and hens parties and nights out with friends.

Was super fun and worth it and the guys there are awesome and really nice. They developed the games themselves which was cool to know. The whole setup is impressive. Would be cool to see some youtube videos on the ideas of games and how the games are developed and tested and future games to come. I honestly think there’s a hidden gold mine with those talents and showing the work behind the scenes. Good stuff 👍🏼

I definitely love ready team one.
The game is superlative and the game master was really supportive ❤️ I tried different vr experience but this one is on another level, not just for the graphic but for the positioning in the space. You can can walk on the side of your fellow with a deep perception of them. That's rare in vr experience. I'll come back

Awesome experience! We played through Genesis and even got to play some PvP at the end. Our Game Master Luke being the angel on our shoulder was super helpful and elevated the experience. Definitely will be back!

The Ready Team One- huge hit for a 14-year-old girl's birthday party! The girls absolutely loved it – so much excitement, tons of zombies, and it kept everyone focused the whole time. There was even a bit of screaming (the good kind!). A big thank to Ray, our instructor – he was so nice and friendly. I've been here 4 times now and will definitely come back. Perfect for any age if they want action and thrills.

We would like to thank Luke at Ready Team One for the amazing VR experience, our Grandson, and our Son had on Sunday, as part of Ethan’s 18th birthday gift. Awesome game, great staff, and heaps of fun, but the navigation was quite frustrating. I spent half the time stuck or having to stop because I couldn't tell where the physical boundaries were before reaching them. I felt like I couldn't move away from the zombies because I was worried about walking into a wall. I found myself just standing there letting them attack me, whereas in a bigger area I would have easily evaded them.
Suggestion: Add the option for a subtle notch in the top corner of where the walls are in real life. This would let us know exactly where the play area ends without losing the vibe. Massive potential once the boundary UI is sorted

A lot of fun! We played the first contact (alien invasion) game. Luke was our amazing host. Very supportive and helpful with our experience. Definitely will be coming back to play the other games. We had a great experience. Sammi and Not432

Booking with Ready Team One for my son's 18th birthday, was an effortless process - easy to navigate and all online. When I phoned to ask a question I was greeted by their flawless AI who answered all the questions I had and lent itself to a virtual reality space. On arrival you go through a side alley with Graffiti (completely safe) which leads up some LED lighted stairs, a brilliant start to an authentic experience of going to fight a Zombie apocalypse. We were greeted by Ray and Luke, amazing, knowledgeable (and patient) hosts. The grin on my son's face (an avid gamer) when the game ended was all the confirmation I needed, this was definitely an amazing experience that we will be repeating in the future. Thank you Ready Team One for making my son's birthday an unforgettable experience.

I was really looking forward to trying this VR venue after seeing so many great reviews, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations.
The customer service felt rushed and disconnected, no explanation of the games or choices, and we were pushed toward one clearly meant for a larger group, which made it quite dull and slow.
On top of that, the right-hand controller wasn’t working properly. When I mentioned it, the staff member just said it would “fix itself in the next round”, but it didn’t, and nothing was offered to fix or replace it.
For the price and reputation, this was really disappointing.

Excellent VR experience. The setup was clean, equipment well-maintained, and the game was impressive. Ray was outstanding — patient, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone was comfortable before starting. His walkthroughs and quick troubleshooting kept things smooth and fun. We had a group of 6 and played the zombie game. Luke was awesome explaining how it all works & was really patient with some of us slower ones! lol. Definitely recommend to families with older teens & we’ll be coming back!

My partner and I are visiting WA on a business trip and booked a session at the Ready Team One. Luke was fantastic during the entire experience and we loved the Zombie Apocalypse game.

We were running a little late due to the typical city traffic n parking but once we arrived we were accommodated nicely and they were understanding of us being late. The experience was great; talked through everything about the game and equipment. We played a zombie base came which our family loves when we do any sort of VR. Overall. Very fun and exciting … love how spacious it is whereas you rarely bump into each other unless you panic and try to fast walk 😂. Also love how easy it is to understand the instructions and controls are. Like you can see if you are about to bump into someone and all unlike other vr store that dont inform you if you’re close to someone unless you’re literally pointing your gun on each other. Overall the team (i think one of them is Ryan?) was also very patient, helpful and friendly explaining stuff to us especially my parents who’s a first timer on vr and also very scared playing it. Will absolutely 💯 percent recommend and will come back again.

The virtual reality experience was really fun playing with friends in a co-op zombie shooter with crazy accurate hand tracking and aiming of the smg and the body sensors really bring the experience to life. This is some really cool tech and the freedom of the arena with the implementation of the snap turn type of technology was something to behold. We also had a short go of player vs player which was also nothing short of awesome.
Only thing that I can think could make it more immersive would be a recoil mechanism.
I have my own virtual reality and pc setup and I must be very clear that this is an entirely different experience and was worth the cost of admission and I will certainly return.

What makes Ready Team One different from other VR?
Three things. It is free-roam: instead of standing in one spot, you walk around an open arena with no cables. It uses full-body and finger tracking, so your whole body is the controller and you can see your teammates move. And the games are made here: all five are designed and built by our own studio in Perth, so you can’t play them anywhere else.

Can I book Ready Team One for parties and team building?
Yes. Ready Team One hosts birthday parties, corporate team building, bucks and hens parties and group outings. Groups of up to 6 can book a Private Session. Larger groups book a Private Event package, which gives your group the whole venue for 1 to 4 hours (up to 12 players per hour, up to 48 in total), with food and drinks in our licensed outdoor courtyard. We recommend booking at least two weeks ahead.

What games can I play at Ready Team One?
There are five games, all made in-house by our own studio:
- Tactical Response: team-versus-team military shooter, 2 to 12 players, ages 13+
- Tactical Response: Apocalypse: co-operative zombie survival, 2 to 12 players, ages 13+
- Tactical Response: Genesis: co-operative horror, our most intense game, 2 to 6 players, ages 13+
- First Contact: co-operative sci-fi shooter with puzzles, 2 to 6 players, ages 13+
- Isle of Trials: Curse of the Fire God: family-friendly mini-game adventure, 2 to 6 players, ages 8+
Every game lasts about 35 minutes.

How does the VR technology work?
You wear a wireless VR headset, and our tracking system follows your whole body, including your fingers, in real time. When you walk, crouch or turn, your character does the same in the game. Because nothing is plugged in, you can move freely around the play space alongside the rest of your team.

I’ve never tried VR before. What can I expect?
Don’t worry if you’ve never picked up a controller – no gaming experience is necessary to have a blast at Ready Team One. Every session begins with a comprehensive orientation where our friendly crew explains exactly how the technology works.
Once you’re briefed, you’ll gear up with our premium, wireless equipment—designed for total comfort and immersion. Our team guides you every step of the way, ensuring you feel confident before stepping into our massive free-roam arena. Whether you’re a total beginner or a pro, we make sure your first VR gaming adventure is seamless, social, and unforgettable.

Can I book a private session?
Yes. Regular Sessions are open to the public, so you may play with people outside your group. For just your group, book a Private Session (up to 6 players, $299). For larger groups, a Private Event package gives you the whole venue: Bronze 1 hour/12 players $780, Silver 2 hours/24 players, Gold 3 hours/36 players, Platinum 4 hours/48 players.
